DESCRIPTION OF HOUSE

Set in the highest part of the grounds on a north/south axis giving protection from the characteristic east and west winds, as well as making the most of the spectacular views; to the south across the National Park, over the Straits through which shipps navigate and to the African coastline and its mountains beyond. To the north, the views are to the mountains of the Alcornocales Park.

This modern house was designed by the Architect Alicia Carrio, resident in the Costa del Sol and familiar with the area. It is quite spectacular, with its full length picture windows both front and back, (north and south), so that from any point in the house, the views of Africa and the Alcornocales National Park mountains can be enjoyed.

The ground floor comprises of a large entrance hall and to the left access to a service area (which has its own independent access from the outside, and consists of a large bed sitting room, bathroom and utility room.) Across the hall from this is a large study/library with views to the bamboo wood and stream.

To the right is a large gallery with glass and steel walls from where there is access to the spacious kitchen, dining room and lounge areas – all have large picture windows that open out onto terraces.

From the entrance hall a splendid wooden and iron staircase, illuminated by a large glass wall, leads up to the 4 large bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom and private terrace with views to the north or south of the property.

The outside terrace has barbeque area etc. Cool in the heat of summer to the north, warm for the winter to the south.

The house also has a semi basement where there is a gym and a general room where the heating and hot water systems are installed and where the garden tools are stored.
